gotta share the joy with those who can appreciate it best...first and most important...made a new kustom bud yesterday with a personal visit to Raleigh NC to meet Matt Farrow...young guy that gives hope to this old grey hair ...MAtt is a vintage keyboard officiando with many a kool toy and the knowledge to fix em and keep em alive into the next century...it was great to be impressed by the young blood as he opened the hood on the kombo 1 and proceeded to explain the entire workings of the rig. We enjoyed a square deal and I drove home with a big ol black kustom organ..spent a bit of time cleaning and polishing last night and reminding myself that I really can't play keys...but as I finally made myself head off to bed I turned to look just as I turned off the lights in my living room and the glistening black beauty that stood there.. I think she's happy to be home with a complete family of kustoms...she'll spend the rest of her days surrounded by 3x15 sirens, bordered by 2x15s, stand shoulder to shoulder with a matching 4x12 cab be seen in family photos with the complete bevey of SC combos...and every now and then...when the moon is full and the night air gently lifts the heat from the ground and wifts the smell of decades of armor all covered naugha into the air and the crickets cease their chatter and reverently stand in silence listening to the low hum and hiss of hundreds of watts of kustoms amps churning in anticipation of the first note...my lil organ will throttle up and the whole family of kustoms will celebrate together and once again... Play Loud! ET

Wow! I think I can smell the black naugha from Michigan!!!! ET, you express your Kustom feelings so well. You are certainly a proud "Papa", and I know you will practice playing the keys so you can show her off righteously. :-)

gotta share this...I still have two daughters at home..my 17yr old is taking piano lessons and doing well so she's been prowling around the organ with this grin on her face.. I mean these things are unique in a word..but I am getting "cool" from their mouths as well...and my 14 year old is my serious guitarist and she was commenting over and over again on how the thing looked from the front like this big oversized guitar amp.. I explained that in fact it could do service as a guitar amp which brought a giggle from her which of course sent me off to the closet for my pedal board and a lil red kustom geetar.. I plugged her up, handing it to my little girl sitting crosslegged on the floor in front of the organ and sat back and watched as she proceeded to play, wide eyed, my kustom guitar through that organ as her 17 year old sister accompanied her from the other side on organ...full circle boys and girls...oh yeah...all was right with the Taylor household last night!...oh and wait..it gets better...one of the first songs that they just had to have Dad teach em...Joe Cocker's Little Help from my Friends...you know that little volume pedal on the organ?...it was pressed to the floor and we was playin loud!
