the 2 x 15 is wider and is made for a K200 head and a 2 x 12 cab is shorter and narrower and is the same width as a K100 head. That is what they were both made for and the CTS are the same, I would still rather have Jensens at least for guitar, but the KEI's or CTS's sound good/ I really like the Altec and JBL speakers.

You must mean the K250-4, they were bigger amps for the 250 series. The 150 amps only were available K150-1 and K150-2. Also the K150 and K100 series were 8 ohm driven amps. The 150 series 2x12's were 8 ohm cabinets. You should not use a 150 series amp with a 250 series cabinet, the 250 series cabinets were 4 ohm.

You can use a k100 or metal face K150 with a K200/K250 cabinet, just do not play the amp at more than half volume and all should be well!
If you are giging outside on a really hot day I would place a small fan to blow on the back of the head.
Tech wise what is happening at the lower ohmage(4 load) is the output stage is putting out twice as much current and hence heat at 4 ohms as it would if a 8 ohm load was hook up.
Also the output stage(K150) will only pump out some 35 watts of clean power unlike the 75 watts it could do into 8 ohms.
So basically we are talking half the power and twice the heat load!

Thanks for all the input! I've had every era of vintage Kustom amp and like my K150-2 above all. So for my K150-2 I need a 2 16 ohm speaker (wired in parallel) cab for a total of 8 ohms and with the 75 watt output I'm guessing a K100 2X12 8 ohm cab would handle the K150 power.
