So,I have moved this amp, that I bought new in 1972, all over the country. I have not used it in 20 years.
Plugged it in...kinda works kinda does not. What is it?
Kustom for sure. Says so on the front of the speaker cover. Not tuck-n-roll. Weird. The little plate on the back is stamped Model 1-L and the serial # is K-13650.
It is a single speaker...like 12 inch 30 watt two input guitar amp with reverb, tremelo and volume and gain. bass, middle, treble(pull)
Never seen another one. goofy right?
Can someone help me figure out what this is. i don't think I want to lug it around anymore. getting old and play acoustic.

You really answered your own question. It is a 1L lead amp. single 12" 30 watts. The amp would be around a 1974 since Kustom was still doing T&R until the fall of 1974. The amp used a Molex Connectors inside and most times if the amp is not working the way it should, Clean the plugs and connectors.

Thanks pleat, but i have done all the cleaning possible. I think it is much more terminal.
But i do appreciate knowing exactly what it is. And that it actually is something. Could never find any reference to a small Lead Amp. No pictures on any of the collector sites.
I had a suspicion that it was a weird little duck

Your problem IS that the amp has not been used in 20 years!
This happens to both tube and SS amps like your 74 Kustom.
It probibly needs some 65 bucks in parts and two hours of a tech`s labor to get ready for the next 20 years!

Thank you, stevem.
I am a player, not a tech. i have re-soldered in a fuse holder, and have also had the thing worked on professionally like 10 years ago.
There is a small circuit board mounted on the back wall, left hand rear corner. I am pretty sure that is where the problem is.
So, maybe 65 buck and a couple of hours would get her up and running but then I have $200 into a $150 amp.
Probably just give it away.
You guys are great! thanks for all you advice, really.
Any comment about why this little doggie is so hard to identify? i know it is not that valuable but it is older than most people I know.
