Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes So I have one of those Kustom K200A-2 heads without the number "200" below or above the Kustom logo. Great amp. Although, I would like to be able to permanently be able to access the effect features without buying the pedal off Ebay. As of now they do not work on their own. My question is this...Is there an easy mod within the amp I can do myself that will engage the Trem/Vib feature without using a footswitch. Also, that it stays engaged permanently with the knob on the front being the regulator. Meaning, turned low or off by turning knob to left and so on and so on. Aaghh, I try to explain in words the best I can. That's why I respect you Kustom dudes on this board. You can say it and explain it so much better. Thanks!

You need to ground the wires on the footswitch jack to turn on the effects.

You can do this by buying a plug and wiring it to short the pins when it is inserted into the jack. This way if you want to turn off the effects you can just pull out the plug.

Or you can open up the amp and solder small jumpers on the back side of the jack grounding out the wires.

Doesn't the "A" head take a mini XLR plug? I know mine has one in it. Buy one and just short them all together to ground or just the effects that you want. I personally do not use any of the Kustom on board effects. It is much more effective to use a multi effect pedal as you can control all of your effects much easier. Not saying that the reverb is not killer on the Kustom stuff, but the rest of it for what most music I play isn't usable. Unless you are playing surf music, I personally couldn't use the rest.

Just my .02 Smile

The K200A serise amps use a regular sized ( not mini) 4 pin XLR connector, the case of the connector is used as the shorting point since its at ground.
