Hi folks,

I just acquired a working Kustom 1-L amp and original speaker (originally was a combo amp...), in a (sort of) "we made this in shop class" (VERY) rough-looking cabinet. The cabinet holds the amp and speaker, but is uber-ugly, LOL.

Any tips on acquiring the original cabinet for this amp, or does anyone know of someone who makes cabs for the old Kustoms?

The amp sounds awesome, BTW...

Hello and welcome.
As far as I know, no one makes reproduction cabs for these so your on your own.
If you want to keep it a combo look around for any kind of dead amps( they will be cheap) that may be moded/changed with some work to house the amp chassie as this to me is the only way you can end up with something that looks better than a school shop made item.

If you google custom amp cabinets, you will find several company that specialize in custom building cabinets. You would want to give the dimensions of the amp head, and they will give you a quote. I will say that buying a custom built cab to house your amp and cabinet won't be cheap. I'd watch ebay or CL to see if one surfaces.

Thanks for the tips.

I just saw another one of these amps for sale, used, so I might bite on that... It has the original cab, etc. Then I would have one that works, and maybe a second one that works, or could be used for parts.

I like the look for a broken used amp idea. If the head fit, it would work just right.

I agree that the custom made cab would be expensive, I didn't think of that...

Try musicgoround.com. They have those come up every so often. About $70 or so. I have one also...great amp. Good luck.

The Kasino Lounge Lead would be another amp that can be used for the 1 lead amp.
