Recovering with used Tuck n' Roll [message #20639] Mon, 19 May 2014 22:57   oren hudson Messages: 274 Registered: March 2008 Location: Gastonia, NC Senior Member I've recently acquired a '72 K250 head in black. The naugahyde could use some attention in a few places. It's a perfect match and sounds great with my '72 X1-18B cab. The cab is a beautiful charcoal sparkle in great shape. I've come across a '68-'69 3-12 Jensen loaded cab in the same charcoal. It's rough in lots of places, but there are areas that have large sections of material in good shape. I'm wondering if I could remove enough from that cab to recover my head so it'd have the correct matching charcoal. Any ideas? Report message to a moderator

The 3x12 cabinet may be too narrow in depth to use once removed from the 3x12 to cover the depth of the wider depth of the slant head cabinet. Handle location on the T&R that you are removing from the 3x12 cab may place the screw holes in the material may be in a funky place if you use the material from the wider bottom part of the material. A lot of work and you end up with a stripped 3x12 cabinet. I'd wait and look for a charcoal K250 head. Maybe use the 3x12 as part of a swap deal to get what you need. pleat Report message to a moderator
