My K100C-8 4x10 has a reverb feedback problem. Mostly when I run the reverb at 7 or above(on a scale of 1 to 10). The more I turn the reverb down, the more the feedback lessons.....The reverb tank is one I had repaired. The original rubber cover on the tank deteriated when removing it, so I made a cardboard cover for the tank.

I'm wondering if installing a rubber backing to the cardboard cover with the rubber side facing down toward the springs might be the needed fix? Thought I'd ask your opinions what I should do first tho.

Covering the tank with something more sound absorbent will help cut down the feedback. I use thin black foam rubber sheets that I get at Micheal's art supply stores. I think that they are 12" X 18" sheets.

I cut the foam to the size of the tank and then use double stick carpet tape to stick it to a piece of stiff cardboard and to mount it to the open side of the tank.

You can also wrap the entire tank in a foam rubber or padded vinyl sleeve if the feedback is really bad.

If you can not find the rubber at the art supply store, they almost always carry 12 x 12 sheets for Cork that I have used .
Also note that if you have had the tank apart and have not reinstalled the 4 tray hang springs in the right holes in the side of the tank the tray will be loose and more subject to picking up vibrations and in turn feeding back!
