I'm just looking for general info on these. I've never been able to find anything, not even pics of any others like them. I've got two of them, purchased in a KS pawnshop around 1997, loaded with G12-65's no less (doubt that was original). They've been used a lot since then, great sounding and unusual cabs. Any light you guys can shed is appreciated.

Are these tuck and roll cabinets with port tubes?

If they are tuck and roll covered but have no port tubes, and or are not tuck and roll covered and also have no port tubes then they where made by the current owner of the Kustom name and are not of the vintage era Kustom made gear!

If they are tuck and roll covered but with no port tubes they where made in late 1999 and 2000 and where loaded with Jensen speakers, if they are the latter non tuck and roll cabinets then I have no guess as to what drivers they came loaded with!

If these are tuck and roll cabinets with port tubes you can see them in the literature section of this site under the the 150, 250' 500 amp listing near the bottom of that page.

I'd suggest you look at the literature section to see if you can find your cabinets.

Nope, they have Chanute serial plates with 4-12E as the model number. S-76529 is the serial on the one I have a picture of. I tried to post links to pics, but I don't have 10 posts yet. They're way oversized 4x12's, black tolex, and they have vents in the back. They have a baffle down the middle on the inside that divides them into 2 2x12's internally.

Like I said, I've looked through all the literature I can find, nothing. They're definitely from the 70's or early 80's.

Can you email the photo's you have to djt@chartermi.net

I think you have the IV L or the IV LS cabinets that were loaded with 12" Eminence speakers originally.

Does the cab have one or two speaker input jacks? The cabinets would have the script Kustom logo over the newer Big K logo cabinets.

Originally two inputs, but they've been rewired to series-parallel off one jack.

Pics sent.

I got the photos and I'd say it is the IV L cabinet. Originally it came with the IV lead head. The head has two power amps inside the head for 276 watts RMS total. Each 138 watt rms amp drove a pair of 12's which is why the cab had a speaker input jack for each power amp.

Size of cabinet 34" X 31" X15 1/2" deep.
Am I close?
