There is an odd Frankie head on CL SF Bay area. It has the high forehead but it's covered in regular tolex-not tuck & roll. Did Ross ever do that? Maybe it's been recovered. Needs work but it's only $80. Keith.

I saw that same amp listed about a month or so ago. I think someone did a make over......did a fair job of covering it but it still doesn't look factory. Price wise, sounds like a good deal......think before it was listed for around 2 bills. For $175 you can get it recovered with T&R to your color choice. Won't be original, but then it probably isn't now anyway, but you will definitely have a show piece at a modest price.

Since you said it needs some work, I recall it was listed as in good working order. Probably why its gone down in price. I also think back now that the listing did say it had been recovered.......if its the same one that I had seen on Craigslist. Offer him $60 if you really are interested. I know its been up for sale for several months now. Might only be good for parts, who knows.

I'm not real great with the computer but I can tell you how to get there. If you go to craigslist in S.F, Bay Area music inst, and type in Kustom you should find it. Also if you go to CL Las Vegas there is a black Frankie with early stove knobs, but I asked him if he would ship it and he said no. Also if you go to CL in Phoenix there"s a beautiful charcoal one with reverb but I asked him if he would ship and got no response. Well I guess now every one knows how I spend my spare time. Keith.

That head has been recovered with black Tolex and has added corner protectors. The seller seems to believe that this is a factory covering, but it is not. Also notice that both fuse caps are missing, so there is no way to know what is wrong with it.
