Hi guys (and gals!), I just bought my first Kustom amp. It's a model K100C-8, 2x10" combo in blue sparkle. We used to have a Kustom 200 bass amp and Kustom 100 guitar amp when I played in a band in high school a loooooong time ago. I deceided to pick up the guitar again and love the retro Kustom look. I was a bit disconserted when I first fired up the amp and heard the thump and hiss, but after reading several posts on this message board, I beleive it's normal. Anyway, where can I get a cover for this amp? Also, a schematic would be helpfull. Thanks

As for a cover, watch ebay! Or buy some vinyl and have someone sew you up one. At least a cover will keep the dirt and rash off it until you find a "real" Kustom cover. Oh, and welcome!!! Deb
Hey Don...welcome ! to the best bunch of krazies in the world and congrats on you new rig....very tastey choice a blue sparkle 2x10..great size rig, loud enough, subtle in the back line, yet visible...just as cool as it gets...yes the thump (that wonderful sound of power unleashed) is normal..as is the hiss to varying degrees..trouble with the hiss is that the component causing the noise won't show as "bad" on a scope..if its annoyingly loud a good amp tech can take the time to isolate it and make things better..if its just a little heavy breather..go with it. Covers are rarer than the amps these days.. my wife has made me a couple and does an excellent job.. I've got my order in to her for more for a couple rigs right now...that's your best bet...although the 2x10 is a very common size..its exactly the same size as the Marshall 2x12 series combos (I have a 4102)and the cover works, and the PV amp covers work too, so check your local dealer for leftovers in his back room. Congrats again on the rig...proud of ya boy! Play Loud ET!
hi Don. i just spotted a couple of covers on ebay this morning.i dont know if theses are what you are looking for but you might want to check them out. just get into ebay then musical instruments then amps and then type in kustom in the search box and then hit newly listed. i personally live on ebay. some great deals can be had if you hunt for them and are patient.i just got a 2x15 kustom cab off there on sunday for 169.00 and about 3 weeks ago i got a k100 bass head for 149.00. not too shabby.GOOD LUCK TELEBOY
Hey Don
In case you didn't buy a cover yet, I just received the cover I ordered from Le Cover (1-800-228-3878) for my K100C-8. It is nylon and seems to be well made. I've bought covers from them in the past. It was $29.95 plus shipping (shipping for mine was $8 for 3 covers).
I gave him the dimensions of 24 7/8 x 20 5/8 x 9 5/8 (9 at the top). The cover fits a little loose which I don't mind but when I order the cover for my other K100C-8 I going to give 24 3/4 as the width.
