I have an old Bass 150 that starting smoking last night. I opened the cover and saw one of the resistors smoldering. I had been having some trouble with heat that was causing the amp to cut out. I installed a small fan and that seemed to do the trick... until last night. Can anyone suggest a cause for all this heat, and a possible remedy? Does anybody have an idea where I can get some schematics for this. I checked Broadway music and they don't.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

My father, KustomDan, has lots of schematics that he sells for the cost of reproduction and shipping. Give him an e-mail at kustomdan@vintagekustom.com with what you need and he just may have it.

On each circuit board there is a PC number. yyou need that number for a schematic. I think the 150 uses the same driver board as the 250 which is most likly where your problem lies, and I cam fax you a layout for that board. In fact if this is a metal face amp I also think the preamp boards are the same.
Desperately searching for a schematic for a K150-B amp. We thought this was a guitar amp but now we're assuming it's probably a bass amp; thus the "B". Any suggestion on where to find a schematic is appreciated.
