Welcome to the place.

The fact that the amp turns on without blowing a fuse, probably means that the output power chip is okay.

The KGA-10 has a headphone jack that turns off the internal speaker. Sometimes the contacts become oxidized and will cause the amp to lose volume. Try the amp with a pair of headphones and see if the volume is normal through the phones. If it is try cleaning the headphone jack with a spray contact cleaner like DeoxIt.

If the headphone jack is not the problem, listen closely to the speaker. Do you hear any hiss or hum? Does the character of the hiss and hum change when you turn any of the controls or switches?

You need to try and isolate the problem to a particular section of the amp. This will make fixing it much easier. If the hiss and hum get louder, etc. when you turn any of the controls, that would point to a problem in the input stage. If the sound does not change, then the output section is suspect.

Let us know what you find out.

Thanks for the info.
This is what I have , when the amp is on I hear nothing so I went and took a plug with two bare wires on it to touch the bare wires and I got sound out of the speaker so I went and hook up a mic to it and it is very distorted out of the speaker and the controls on the amp have to be set at high and the overdrive has to be on or it will not have sound , is there any thing else I can try to make it work better and not distorted.THANKS

I do not follow what you did !
You hooked the amp up to a speaker other than the one in the amp?
If so then your speaker is bad and the amp needs to have its output stage repaired by a tech, plus you need a new speaker.
Not really worth it for this size amp!
