Sorry about the spelling and grammar errors. I was posting it using my cell phone and trying to hurry.

Welcome!
What are you looking to get from it that you can not get currently?
I brite channel?
More mids?
Less muddy reverb?

Definitely would like one of the channels brighter. The reverb doesn't sound very good.

Welcome to the website.

Serial number places it between Jan and July 1971. On the reverb tone, unless you know that the tank is original and both springs are in the tank, it's hard to suggest a mod to make it sound better. The channel reverb control could be replaced with a bright normal switch without much effort since the board is PC105 that is used on both the K200B-1, K200B-2, and K200B-5.

One of the tech guys can shed more light.

Pleat is right, all 4 of the channel preamp boards are the same as used on the guitar amps. But when the reverb control is added for the PA, a jumper is added that replaces the bright on and off switch that is the same as turning on the bright switch.

You might be able to change a few cap values to alter the tone of a channel.

Note that there was a factory mod the was done to the reverb in these amps after a certain serial number , and it was done to stop the circuit from feeding back, but I have never had a early serial number head to compare if the mod also changed the tone of the reverb or not?

Thanks for the replies. There is a lot of incredibly smart people on this forum with a tremendous amount of knowledge.. Other than making it brighter and the reverb. I really don't know what I want. I just think it's a waste to have all four channels be the same. Was hoping someone had or knows of any mods that really gives each channel something different. This is my first SS amp so if I'm asking for something impossible just let me know. Thank again for everyone's help.

Well with less than a bucks worth of parts you could simple make one Channel into a brite channel by paralleling a .005 uf 10 volt cap across a 470K resistor and wire this in before the blue wire off of one of the 4 input jacks , you can then use a Y cord, or a A/B box and blend the two channels to your liking.
Certain caps on any of the boards could be changed to less or more mids, or roll off some of the Bass.
