I've got a small vintage Kustom 1-10" guitar amp...silver...model K25C-2 with a serial # of 55710. I think it was made from 1973-1976. I'm a player and love different amp tones. So I plan to keep it. Just want to know what the going price would be. If anyone can put me in touch with someone who would know, that'd be great. thanx, Mark

Hi Mark...welcome to the site. Your little K25 represented the first model in the line of what was know as the "SC" series. Not long after it was produced (late 68-early 69) they up'd the wattage and made it a model 50..easy to spot as the face has a big 50 on it..the K25 does not and it is the earlier model. It actually has a 12inch in there..most likely a Jenson special design gold label. You mentioned it was silver and I want to be clear cause folks often get confused between the fabric (Uniroyal Naugahyde) colors...if it looks white with silver flakes then it is officiall "silver" by Uniroyal's naming conventions..if it looks silver, ie gray with metal flake, then they actually called that Charcoal. Either way its worth more than the basic black models. Cosmetic condition makes all the difference on value..if there are no cig burns, tears, etc an no bad discoloration then your amp has sold for as much as $450 among folks I know..that price usually gets a very clean rig with original cover and sometimes a footswitch...going down from there I've come across rigs in good - to very good conditionfor $250. compare the rig to any other amp in its class on the shelf these days..PV, Fender, etc..and you'll find that keeping the kustom is better than selling it for less than $250. My little black K25 is in mint condition and yet wouldn't bring $250 on the market...but I'd never sell it..its been the best amp I"ve ever owned and I've been playing it since I was 13 ('69). Hope this helps..and congrats on your amp... Play Loud! ET
