Hey guys, thanks for letting me join. I don't know how to down load pictures from my computer yet but I thought that I'd contribute to the group. I recently acquired a pair of vintage Kustom PA speakers. The kind that has two 15" speakers and a Altec like horn at the top. They need a lot of TLC so this group probably will come in handy. I haven't read all the postings about handles yet so if someone has already post this information, just disregard mine. I just wanted to let you know that you can get brand new replacement handles that are exactly like the old ones if you go to etsy.com. If you type in the search bar "vintage suit case handles", you'll find all different kinds. Two vendors there sell the black handles like the Kustoms. One vender sells them for about $2.00/piece. "The other vendor sells them for about $6.00/piece. Like I said, if I could down load pictures, I could show you side by side comparisons.

Welcome to the joint and congrats on the score. There is no way to post pics on this site. I've located the handles that you referenced and they look like pretty much the same as the originals. I've ordered some, so thanks for the heads up. Smile

the thing I found out when it comes to repairing or restoring old amplifiers is, a lot of the parts are still being made today.

You're right. Sometimes just finding them is the roadblock.

The handles from Etsy arrived today, 1/12/21. I'm happy to report that they are exactly like the originals. Took a few days to get here, but well worth the wait. Smile

I did the search exactly as you suggested in a previous reply and nothing came up. That's why I was hoping you could just shoot me the link.

Hey,
I found them! Ordered several. Maybe I'll break even from selling the 3 originals I have that are still intact. Smile

Update: I ordered 8 of these handles off of Etsy and they arrived today. They are exact replacements and I plan on ordering 8 more of them tonight. Thank you again for the suggestions. This website is absolutely amazing and I cannot express my gratitude enough for all of your suggestions and help.
