Hi, the amp is 50 watts RMS 100 watts peak.I dont know how loud you play but you will probily need to run a DI into the PA or mic the amp for rock. For acoucstic jazz it should be fine on its own.

folks of today are always surprised at how much volume I get from my old kustoms and seldom do they believe me when I tell them the rms wattage rating..they always think the amp is much louder than that.. I've found that the SC (combos) 100 rigs which include the 2x10, 4x10, and 2x12 for guitar and the 1x15 for bass are great for your stage backline..any of them are loud enough for your to hear yourself over the drummer...but they don't throw well enough to come off most stages on their own..the exception for me might be the 2x12 combo...its a strong rig..in a small club, it's enough, but I recently did a small club patio gig with one of my 4x10s and it was plenty for me, but everyone else kept asking me to turn up...I was at the threshold already and couldn't give em any more...had I taken a pair of them I'd have been ok....if you are talking about the 2x12 cab that comes with the 100 piggyback...those are amazing rigs...loaded with the altec or jbl drivers for guitar they can cover most of your work...if you are playing to more than say 50 on a dance floor then yeah...you'll need to pipe into the PA for some throw, but you'll always be able to hear yourself on stage.. I run a pair of those cabs and love em..they are a great size..easy to haul. I played a 1500 seater a while back with a DI into the PA and only a blue sparkle 4x10 150 behind me.. I could barely hear the amp..the floor monitors were way hotter than my rig..total wash out...and I also did an 8,000 seater last year..old coliseum deal and used my 3x12 200 and it was probably 20 ft behind me..just right! the extra power is important...but its also the cab and height...get yerself the 100 rig...you'll always find a use for it...then later if you need it...you can snag an extra cab, or a 200 rig..you can never have enough tuck n roll...play loud! Thank you for that info! Be I've got another question what is a DI, and when you get the amp at peak does the speakers make that terrible buzzing sound? And why is just about all the amps that ugly blue? Pcforge

Hi. A DI is short for direct input. you guitar cord first goes to a splitter box, one of the two outputs goes to your amp the other goes to the PA/mixing board. The DI box is almost allways provided by the sound company doing the gig or the recording studio. If your playing loud enough to see the pilot light dimming on every note you play your driving the amp to full peak output and getting at least amp distortion and maybe speaker distortion all so. Rememmber bass notes eat up amp power real fast and youve only got 50 watts of clean power, The average car stereo these days has more power than that,If you do not like the blue color all the other colors can still be had, so you could get it recoverd.

If you're using it for guitar its probably fine but if its for bass and its any kind of a big place unless you have it miced or Di in the Pa you'll get covered up. I like the Blu myself.
