Kustoms on the wide screen [message #302] Sun, 21 January 2001 14:42 Haltone Messages: 16 Registered: March 2000 Location: Syracuse NY Junior Member I just saw the movie "Charlie's Angels" at the local $1.50 admission theater. Anyway the movie was OK, but the best part was the introduction and the outakes. The Angels were in a rock band with Kustom tuck n roll amps on stage! I caught a blue piggyback that looked like a K200 and a cascade head on a blue buttom next to it. You have to look fast and the better shot is at the end during the outtakes. Anyone else see this or was it a hallucination? Any other movies where Kustoms can be seen? I'm buying Charlie's Angels for sure. Hal Report message to a moderator

A lot of outakes show up on the dvd versions. I do know for the Drew Carey fans, the epipsodes that start with the song and dancing It's a 5 O'Clock world, has a blue 3x12 K200 show up in the opening dance with rope lights around the speaker grille. The reruns here in michigan are now cutting the opening short of the kustom appearing, so they can squeeze more comercials in. There was also a bubble gum comercial a while back that had a red 3x15 K200 in the background. So what other kustoms have people seen in the small screen? Don Report message to a moderator

Bare Naked Ladies.....and Smashmouth have shown Kustoms. I also saw a brief clip of the Osmonds doing an outdoor gig with a complete set of BLACK rigs....I am sure there are others Fogerty....Jacksons? Re: Kustoms on the wide screen [message #308 is a reply to message #307] Wed, 24 January 2001 12:26 Anonymous VH-1 has been running those 100 Best of series and the rock album especially(which I personally TOTALLY disagree with) has shown alot of old footage of bands with the beloved tuck 'n roll on stage. From the glimpses I caught there was a few from Motown(sp?) and some cool early rockers. Anyone else catch these? Mike Report message to a moderator

I had this brief fear that the video would include some pinhead pushing the Kustom into the pool but fortunately that didn't happen. Keep yours eyes peeled cause you never know what you'll see. . . . It is the Drews dance party, there sits a blue 3x12 K200-1 with some tacky rope lights around the speaker grill, but it looks great, and has two shots of the amp. Re: Kustoms on the wide screen [message #320 is a reply to message #318] Fri, 02 February 2001 10:43 Anonymous funny you should mention the lights..on more than one occasion I've seriously considered heading down to the local car parts store and buying some of those string tube lights..even thought about loading some brite flashers inside the ports...audio activated so they would flash on high volume impace...and on my black 2x15s I thought about loading small black lights right in the back edge of the ports so it would glow...now mind you, I've never gone over that edge...but... Rope lights, black lights, flashing lights, would really brighten up the black tuck and roll. Now that would make all those sparkle amps look dull. A fog machine to the ports would be a nice touch. Very nice and wouldn't ya know it, they do a tour of his home studio and there sits a Charcoal K100SC 4x10. I mean it sorta stood out compared to those other " Brand X " amps he had. They had tons of Kustoms used as props throughout the movie! Mostly 71-72 stuff. I wish I would have tape recorded the movie!! Any one else watch it? Report message to a moderator
