Hey guys and gals,
Someone asked me several weeks ago what the horn cap was in my Frankie.....
It is a 10 mfd 50vdc capacitor hooked to the horn, all in parallel with the two 15 inch speakers.
All the talk about moving and changing speakers in the 3x15 cab got me all frothed up, so just for kicks I am going to put the horn in the middle and an E140 speaker in the top and bottom....might even out some of the air movement in the cab. Might end up looking strange not having the horn in the top, but hey, it's my toy, right? If it doesn't turn out, twist a few nuts and put it back original.

Just make sure your handles are in good shape or you wear gloves to lift the beast. It WILL take 2 people to lift it anything above 3" Those E´s are great. Both of my sirens have 2 E140´s and the horn, but I replaced the jack plate with a Neutrik 4 pole jack, fits in the same hole and I have a Biamp 3x15. however, the É140´s don´t crossover well into the horn. My rolloff is at 300Hz. Well below the horns. I have 2 columns with 4-E120´s in each running the mids. It is nice combo.
