Can someone tell me what might be wrong with my K200B. When I use the Tremlo (intensity, speed) the volume drops considerably. Any ideas would be VERY appreciated.

Hi. that circuit most likly has a leaky cap, or transistor. My bet, would be a cap!No easy way to trouble shoot this, you need a schematic and a cap checker, (a multimeter test for a leaky cap is a waste or time with some small cap values) a good 80 dollar cap checker.Or if you have enough caps sitting around you can try to shot gun it, and change them all one at a time (hell you have to take them out of the board to check them anyway) The flat round pancake style ceramic caps hardly ever go bad, but they make very poor audio bypass, or coupling caps. Any one of this type you find passing audio, if up graded to a good type like a silver mica type if the cap you are replacing is in the PF range, or any higher rated caps can be replaced by whats called a orange drop type of which most Kustoms use this style in some locations and where made by mallory. anyway The caps that look like a small upside down blue teardrop would be first on my hit list for checking. If you choose to shot gun it you can use a replacement that is within 20% up or down of the value you are replacing and the circuit will work, you can go back in latter with the right value.
Thanks so much Steve!! But I think it's time this baby went to see the doctor. That's a bit too technical for me to even take a swipe at. Thanks again!!!!
