the idea for a grounded power cord is great, on a Kustom 200, what side should the switch be when you turn it on? my kustom is still rocking with jbl's.

Hello. With a grounded cord installed, it doesn't matter which way it's switched because there is a constant ground from the chassis. If you are using the original two prong, use it which ever way gives you least ammount of buzzing. The way outlets are wired now is that the power goes along the black negative wire, and the white positive wire is the return, but it is also the ground for two prong appliances. You'll know when it's switched right because it won't buzz as much, but as I'm sure anyone on this forum will tell you, just put on a three prong cord since it will not only reduce buzzing, but it won't use you as a human lightning rod that way either. Just do a search of the other forums regaurding three prong cords, there is a wealth of information all over. Have fun!

Hi, you should put on a 3 prong cord, but if you play out or jam at locations where the A/C is wired wrong( and there is alot of them) you should keep on hand a ground lift adapter to get the buzz out and a cheap two lead wall outlet tester to span across your amp and the P A to see if you need to take care about getting zapped.I wonder why no one has ever come out with rubber lip savers?
