Looks like I might be getting a 1973 Challenger in very good condition. The only info I could find on it in Kustom.com was that it is 50 wattsrms/300 peak and its size. It has an EVM12S Pro Line 300 watt speaker and is black T&R. Any Challenger owners out there that may be able to give me any info on these little beasts would be cool? Does it get as loud as any other one 12 speaker combos and does it have enough to go over drums at band practice to compete next to a Marshall 2X12?
What would be the loudest replacement speaker to shove in this puppy?
Thanks, Smoke1

The Challenger is 25 watts RMS so it probably won’t get as loud as the Marshall 2x12.
The EV is a great speaker, and is probably more efficient than the average speaker so it might help the amp play a little louder. At band practice, I would put the amp up on top of something to get it off the floor and set the bass control at 12 o’clock or below so you can get maximum volume.
