Hey, i just recently discovered that my father has had a 25 watt Challenger for quite some time now. The problem with it is that there is constant tremolo. I believe this could be because the amp is lacking a footswitch. Is the problem with this amp that it does not have a foot-switch? When originally purchased should the amp had come with a foot-switch or is it separately purchased? Should I proceed with purchasing a new foot-switch for my amp? All Advice and concern for my dilema is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Its not likly that the effect is made to be on all the time with out the footswitch, but I can not say for sure, hell the amp could have been miswired from day one!Take a guitar cord plut it in the foot switch jack a short across the other end of the cord with a pair of plyers or something, if the tremlo goes off then make or buy a foot switch.
