Hello. I just recently acquired a pair of EV SRO 15 loaded home built folded horn cabs. Does anyone know the specs on these? They have massive magnets with a white bell cover the size of a mixing bowl. I was wondering what kind of wattage they can take if anyone knows. Thanks!

If you go to the EV site, and contact them, I`am sure they can tell you. I had EV eliminator cabs years ago and I recall them being good for 150 watts RMS I think.

Hello. I emailed them and got the spec sheets. The wattage rating for the standard SRO15 is:

60 watts continuous sine wave
150 watts pulsed program
300 watts peak
600 watts peak to peak

2.5 inch voice coil
16 lbs. magnet structure

They also made an SRO15L, which I guess stands for "low frequency." Those specs are:

100 watts continuous sine wave

2.5 inch voice coil
16lbs spoked magnet structure

Notable about the SRO15L is that the spec sheet had a Kustom logo on it as well, and the service contact was the Kustom factory in Kansas; I think they used these in their '70's tolex amps.
