In going thru this months vintage guitar mag, here are some kustoms I found.Fretware guitars in OH has a 1967 model 120, red, in exc condition, 800 bucks. PH# 973 743 1151.Coleman music in NC, has a 4-12 black 70s cab for 400 bucks,PH#704 857 5705.Atlanta vintage guitars has a late 200 PA head in gold for 300 bucks, and 72 white 4x8 column for 200 bucks.Anybody got more room?
Kustom's do sound great for keys. Its amazing how loud they are. I have 200 head that we use thru a Leslie for organ and the piano runs thru a 200 head and bottom.
If our bunch does'nt know what a 120 is then its a real mystery amp? I would'nt mind if its a 100 hundred though.
Hey QModer – you did a posting back in August 2004 about using a real Leslie in your band for your keyboards, including the piano sounds.
I never thought about using a real Leslie but you got me thinking about it, so a few weeks later I got a Leslie 825 (has lower rotor only – for the upper rotor I use a Motion Sound Pro3). As I have to be able to carry it up stairs by myself, I lightened it from 87 to 58 lbs (removed amp, put in lightwight JBL MI-12, reduced wood thickness). Now that it is so light, I use it for most of our jobs. At first I powered it with my Kustom 200 (the one that Steve fixed) but now I just use my powered mixer. I play all my sounds thru the Leslie – even the synth and piano. Anyway, thanks for the inspiration!

I'm glad it helped you out. I did'nt weight my Leslie in a before and after. I suspose I could weight that amp. I know that its pretty heavy though. Lots heavier than a Kustom amp head thats carried seperately. I got some other weight not needed off my old Leslie too. It really makes a difference when you go to moving them.
