I have a pair of old Kustom PA columns with the black vinyl/tolex covering. Not sure what year or model. The 4x10's have an ohm of
8 .16 stamped on them. I need to replace them. what speaker and ohmage should i use to replace with? ?
And what are these columns from and where can i find out more info?

A great replacement would be one from parts express. model number 264-332. it is made by selenium, its 8 ohms, big magnet and handles plenty of power. They cost 43 dollars. If your grill cloth is a wide striped two tone color, then that speaker is from the 70s Kasino line of amps.

Also look at Steelsound gear on Ebay. You can get a pair of Madison Archers for $55 shipping included. Or be lucky like me and find a sweet pair of 1964 mint Jensens Alnicos Shocked that I just installed in my Micro Marshall stack. Check out my personal electronic techy berber Jerry from north San Diego on ebay name Ilikethingswood. He gets alot of good speakers and stereo stuff every weekend from swap meets and yard sales from people who have no clue on the value then he fixes it and sells it on ebay. He specializes in vintage receivers and speakers. He even has his wife trained to test tubes and gear also. He has a sweet 12X JBL 2022H (18 pounder) woofer from a floor monitor that nobody's even bidding on right now!! Shocked Great guy & my personal friend. Cool

Hello. I'd actually check out www.steelsound.com before using their ebay auctions since sometiems they sell the speakers in their website for less than in the auctions. Archers are $15 plus shipping; they are good speakers, I loaded a 4x10 cab with them and they sound good. Good luck!
