Hello All,
I've just bought what I thought was a classic K100 series Amp on ebay and the seller now says it is not a tube amp. I'm stunned because it looks just like the K100 series amps.
Does any one know about this one?
It is Model K100 8, serial number #44732.
It is a combo with 4-10" speakers complete with the high and low jacks on each side of the front controls and on the back it has two 1/4 female jacks and a toggle switch. Does anyone have any idea what I just bought???
Thanks,
Dave
Yes, you bought a "classic K100 series amp" and it IS solid state. While the sound of these amps seems to confuse alot of people, our T&R darlings are solid state. But you shouldn't be disapointed, they look great, sound great, and are built like tanks. Plus, no tubes to buy. What more could you want?

What color is it? That has a huge effect on the sound. ET swears by the black ones, but most Kollectors prefer the sound of the colors.
Just kidding, but congrats on your acquisition. You own a piece of history, from when amps had as much character (or more) than the guitars they served.

Thanks for the information. Looks like I'll have to wait until it comes to see if it what I was hoping for. It is black by the way so if maybe I spraypaint it some other color it will improve the sound?? What is a good color? I'm thinking clear but I might trip over it unless a paint it a color.
thanks guys!
Dave

WTF????? I hope you are kidding. If that's what you want, buy a Marshall. Rip off the T&R??? Don't even think about it. I think I'll have a heart attack. That's more frightening than Al Gore.
