Tech Help -Speaker Pop [message #835] Sun, 19 August 2001 17:22 Wheel Messages: 4 Registered: May 2001 Location: Denton, Maryland Junior Member OK techies..I have an older Kustom 300 - 6 channel PA head. Anyone have a relatively easy cure for the speaker "pop" when turning the unit on or off? It pops fairly loudly regardless of where the volumes are set. All GOOD amps thump, it's a sign of power! Really, my 250's thump, my Acoustic (oops!) thump, and some peavey crap I had thumped. Mine don't thump so loud that the speaker jumps real bad, but you can hear it. If yours are thumping real loud, I would be concerned. There are some mods you can do to Acoustic brand amps, but I can't seem to find that tech sheet at the moment. It's a modification that slowly brings the power to full. I'm sure some of the techie guys here will have some thoughts, ideas and possible solutions. Report message to a moderator
