Hi gang!In going thru a 2004 copy of the vintage guitar price guide, the Kustom amp section makes mention that ROSS was producing amps as early as the late 50`s! Is there any proof any one has heard of to support this?

to my knowledge, Bud, and he had some help, really did not beging making amps until the early 1960s..closer to 1964...that's not to say as a young teen that he might not have been messing with some stuff in the garage..but he's never shared any stories of that with me....Bud did mention a number of years back when the Ohio kustom folks first came out with their tuck n roll effort..that Bud went to NAMM and was loitering at the booth and he had not much kind to say about the kustom reps there..they were telling folks things like "yeah, and this is Bud Ross who originally made the old tube kustom amps"...etc... Bud was pretty disgusted with them.
gotta remember..he was all of about 23-24 in the early 60s when the whole thing broke loose.
