Hey, folks. I desperately need a part to get the reverb workin on my Kustom 300 PA head. It's a 14 pin integrated circuit and the model number is SN16810N. Any advice and/or help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, Is this a plastic case IC, or a metal case IC? and this is the only info it has on its case?
I do not have a K300 schematic, but I would have thought that it would use the same semiconductors as the K250 for the reverb function, of which I have a schematic for and it does not use a 14 IC but for one of its 2 channels preamp and mixer stage.
Chuck:
The KPN 007-7015-00 chip is the standard metal front pre-amp chip. The Kustom number is 739, which actually is an RC4739, XR4739 or NTE725 chip. This is a 14 pin, dual op-amp.
The bad news is that it hasn't been made in 10-15 years. You can sometimes find them on eBay or online at the many electronics parts places. Try Vibro World or Antique Radio Supply.
Another alternative is the adapter board that is available from PAIA, that will allow you to use any standard 8-pin, dual op-amp in place of the original 14-pin chip.
I used to have a bunch of them, but through the years I've used them up, repairing Polytones, Tapco mixers and yes even Kustom metal front amps. I will check the parts drawers this weekend and see if I still have one around.
