Well I have finally crossed the slant barrier and I now own a 150. Its a pretty nice little amp but it does have some problems.
Problem #1 is the pilot light. Its burned out. I took the amp apart. The power switch seems complex compared to what I thought I'd find with the little cams and all. But thats not what concerns me its the pilot light.
After getting it apart I thought the little light probably just pulled out. It doesn't. I found that out after breaking it LOL.. Before I do any further damage its time to ask for advice. How does this thing come out and what light at radio shack or somewhere else is a replacement?
Problem two. It's got a replacement speaker and one orginal. I have two Yamie speakers that I could use for replacements. They are 120 watts RMS. But I have no idea which is the positive or negative lugs. They are not marked. I know that the tip of a quarter inch plug is its positive and the long pole on the female end. But they seem to blur inside so which pole of a female quarter inch plug is the positive?

Hi QModer,
The replacement bulb is GE335, which is 28 volts at 40ma. The bulb screws in.

(These two bulbs will fit, but are not correct and can cause the resistor to overheat:
Radio Shack 272-1143...12 volts at 75ma
GE373...14 volts at 80 ma
Also they will not last very long, especially in the combo amps.)

#335 lamp - part # 209605CA - $.59 each

www.mouser.com - they are in Texas... 1-800-346-6873
#335 lamp - part # 606-CM335 - $.98 each

For the speakers, connect a 9 volt battery... if the cone moves out, then the terminal connected to positive on the 9 volt battery is positive.
For the quarter inch plug, use a 9 volt battery as a simple tester. Connect - to the plug tip, then connect + to a wire, touch the wire to the plug's terminals, the one that sparks is the + terminal.

Les you are a scholar and a gentleman. Thank for your timely and accurate reply. I copied it off for future reference and to order a bulb or bulbs. I should have known it just screwed out LOL.. What a screw ball I am. I thought that it was like most other amp pilot lights and you press in and turn.
I will go a head and unscrew it now. I assume it will still turn the amp on with that light not there until I can get a proper bulb for it. The light of course didn't work anyway.
