I have a Kustom Tuck & Roll cabinet model 4-12G, serial# S-35765. The speakers are labeled KEI, Part No. 038 5008 00. One of them has a rip in it and I want to replace it with a comparable speaker of the same wattage. Does anyone know what the wattage is on this speaker?

Hi mattjess,
I do not know the rating of the KEI 12" speaker, but I would guess 75 to 100 watts.
Also, if the speaker still works OK, you might be able to patch it with speaker repair glue.

How big, and where is the rip.In the surround area of the speaker next to the mounting gasket, or in the cone?
Both can be fixed with little effort with out degreading the speakers sound.

Is there a specific type of glue? Someone I spoke with told me Elmers Glue will work.

Elmers glue will work in a pinch for speaker repair.
But it is not flexible and does not last forever - you might need to re-glue it in a few years.
The best stuff is Speaker Repair Glue, $5.95 plus shipping from PartsExpress.com
