I need to replace the speakers in my 1968 2X15 bass cabinet, and I'm trying to figure what I should replace them with. They are the original speakers, and after 40 years of service have finally decided to throw in the towel. I've been told Peavey Black Widow's are the way to go, but I figured this would be the place to get some honest and knowledgeable advice. So let me know...

Eminence Delta 15's, also sold under the Carvin name (Not sure what the model number is) are pretty good bass speakers for the money. I think you'd have to spend 2x-3x the price to get noticeably better/loader sound.

I get my Eminence's from www.bltsound.com I can recommend them highly for price and service.

Sweet. I heard about those being a good replacement as well. I'll look into them now...
