Check out eBay item number 220228756446, for the LotzTone amp head. It is one of the original heads made by Bud Ross and Gene Myers, just before the Kustom name was put into use.
It looks like it is an all Germanium transistor version of a Frankenstein head. The case and front panel are of the same layout as the Franks, and the internal mountings of the circuit boards, etc. are very similar. I'm only guessing here, but based on the output transistors on the back panel this was probably at most, a 30 watt amp.
This also explains the "Ross and Myers" front panels on the early Frank heads.
"Pleat" was the winner here. Is this the same pleat that posts here on the board? If it is, I'd love to see/know more about this piece of Kustom history.

I am the same pleat that posts here. I haven't had much time for a while to devote to the site. I did win the Lotztone amp. Bud called me the monday before the auction closed and he said he would like to have the amp to look it over, play and around with it. Five of the original Kustom collectors Group who met in Nahsville in 2000 and Five other Kustom collectors who I have met through email all chipped in and we bought the amp and gave it to Bud Ross. We all thought it was such a great piece of Kustom history that he should have it. The amp was only 20 miles from Buds home, so Bud picked it up, had a nice conversation with Gene Myers nephew Clay. I think Clay was suprised to see Bud himself at his front door picking up the amp.
To have something back in your posession that started the Kustom craze after all these years, I know Bud is truly happy.
So that is what took place to get the amp back to Bud.
Bud is going to go through the amp and will let us know what he finds out.
