So last night, I was plugged into my amp, I felt a little shock, next thing I knew, my amp stopped playing. Looking at the amp from the front, it's the right side that stopped working. However, if I plug into the left side, that still works.
Is there anything obvious that I can check?
Is it most likely that I'm going to have to take it into repair? And if so, does anyone know where in the Portland Oregon area?

Hi, I have that same amp, and my left front channel blew on me once.
It looks like the channel you where playing thru blew also, and by the sound of it, it may have been a static discharge that did it even though these channels/preamps have a blocking cap feeding the first gain stage transistor that sound not let a that happen.
Anyway, yes you will have to take it to get repaired and its probibly only one transistor that is dead, but its a common cheap to buy transistor(like 10 cents from a supply house) and its not a hard circiut for a tech to work on.
While the guys in their have him clean and lube the pots and the short switches on all 4 input jacks.
Let use know how it goes.
I am a tech myself, but judeging by the jerks that work doing the electronic repair in some music shops by me I might suggest to you to take it to a local TV repair shop that might have a older fellow working their, as he could probibly get it back up and running in less than a hour!

I am a electronic tech, I do repairs myself, but as far as the cost for you where ever you take it, they should not charge you for more than 2 hours of labor + maybe 1.50 for the transistor.
Installing a grounded a/c cord should only add another 15 minutes of labor time as I just butt splice in the new cable, crimp a lug on the ground wire and then land that under the head of the screw that bolts down the rectifier bridge. NO soldering needed!

Hi Steve...
Wow, I forgot about this post. Just happen to stumble across it while browsing this various pages.
I've decided to do the repairs myself. Is there any chance you might be able to assist me in this project and process? Also, can you recommned while I'm in there any other parts that i might want to change out? Any caps that might need to be replaced?
I'm probably not equiped for diagnostics, but, I can do part replacement.
