I was followed home yesterday by a K200A-4 with a 3x15 Altec cabinet. I bought the amp in "dead" condition as I took the owner at his word. When I got home I plugged it up and found it really does work but the pilot light was burned out. The amp sat dormant for a few years and popped and cracked for a few minutes then sounded better as it was played a bit. However, none of the effects are working which seemed a little odd. Does this point to any particular problem or are they separate problems? I know on this model all effects are available on one channel so I thought that might be a clue. Thanks! BC Cool

It has been almost 10 years since I had an A-4 head. Does this head require the switch to turn on the effects? I have been living in the K200B world too long! Confused BC

I took an alligator clip test lead and attached it to each pin and a chassis ground to test the effects....they all work. BC Cool

Congrats on the new adoption!

I hope your amp still has the original wiring because, maybe now we will finally be able to answer the 200A-4 footswitch question.

Exactly which pins control which effect?

There are 4 pins in the xlr, and the case is used for the ground. Please let us know the pinout for the pedal.

Then pins are 1=Trem/Vib 2=SelBoost 3=Clipper 4=Reverb If the numbers are not visible on the plug or you have 50+ eyes the pins are numbered left to right as you face the back of the amp. BC Cool

Does anyone have the schematics for wiring the Kustom 250-4 Footswitch? Any info would be helpful.
