Does any one know where to purchase the Tuck and roll Vinyl material .. my company restores vintage amps fender, Marshal, and vox back to its original design ... I have quite a few Kustom amps that I would like to totally restore ... I realize some people don't like the Idea of doing this, but there are those who do ... and I would like to restore these amps back to their original state

Kustom did their own sewing of the pleats in the factory. If you look at the photo section, you'll see the women hard at work at their sewing machines.
Maybe you could find a custom auto upholstery shop in your area that can sew the pleats for you.
I always wondered if there was enough interest in having pre-pleated kits made up to make it economically feasible. Then all one would need to recover a cab, would be a staple gun.
Even though the Zodiac material is still available, I've never found a source for the basic black that Kustom used.

Chicagobill, I was the one who took the photo that's on the site.
I was amazed at all the ladies sewing the covering and foam together in long rolls. The real issue is getting the foam. Kustom used a V cut foam at 2" spacings during the K200A and newer models. The foam was a flat foam with the V cut. If you look at the older Frankie series the T&R was a thicker and more rounded look. When they changed to the V foam the T&R wasn't as pronounced as the earlier series.
My bass player had a custom car shop re do a 2x15 cabinet for him. It looks good until you count the number of T&R. The 2x15 cab has 12 across the top and his turned out to have 13. Even though the T&R was cut for 2". A real art of sewing and the people who applied the material would have to stretch it along with stapling it. I talked with a former employee last June at our convention and she said she would come home with hands aching from stretching, and then do it again the next day. She was an employee from the beginning to well after Kustom move in the late 70's early 80's.
