I have 4 Jensen C15N 15" speakers that are 16 ohm if you would be interested. 8 ohm Kustom speakers are rare.

Sorry for the delay. I guess $75 for the Jensen and $100 for the CTS. 100% negotiable.

I want to make sure I understand you correctly. You are asking for a package price for all 5 speakers. I will do it for $300 plus shipping. I don't think I have enough boxes but I will check and work it out. Where do you live? I can ship them out by the weekend. All speakers are 100% original and removed from service.

Maybe I can help with the impedance loads. Except for a couple of applications, all of the Plexi front Kustoms used 16 ohm speakers. The original Frankenstein amps would put out maximum wattage into 8 Ohms. The A and B series would put out 100 watts into 4 ohms. By using 16 ohm speakers, the resulting arrangements would be, 1 2x15 cabinet would be 8 ohms, 1 3x15 cabinet would be 5.3 ohms and 2 2x15 cabinets would yield 4 ohms. The amps would put out about 65 watts at 8 ohms, 80 watts at 5.3 ohms and 100 watts into 4 ohms. If you want to use only 1 2x15 cabinet, then you need 8 ohm speakers. If you want flexibility to use 1 or 2 cabinets, then the speakers should be 16 ohms. I have a 2x15 cabinet that will not be used with a second cabinet that has JBL E140-8 speakers to give 4 ohms total and the full 100 watts. By looking at the literature on this site, you can see what was offered in each series. The 400 series used 2 amps in each head. Each could power 2 speaker cabinets for a grand total of 8 15" speakers. WOW!!! The higher the impedance, the easier the amp will work with a corresponding reduction in power. If you go under 4 ohms, the amp mey overheat or some other detrimental result. Frankenstein amps only had 1 output jack, this might be slightly different for the PA while the A and B series had 2. The 100 series amps only had 1 output jack and could only power 8 ohms or higher. Kustom did not buy 8 ohm 15" speakers and the 1x15 cabinet would only put out about 40 watts. With a 2x12 cabinet you would get the full 60 watts. The CTS speaker is a 16 ohm but I replaced that speaker with a JBL E140-8. Also, all of the speakers have the cloth dust covers not the aluminum dust cover. Do you have a PayPal account? That would work better. We both would be covered if something were to go wrong.

OK, I'm late to the dance, but do we know what brand and model amp will be used with the kustom speaker cabinets?
I couldn't find any amp mentioned that will used. True the Frankie amps have only one speaker output but the speakers were still 16 ohms each in the cabinets. Frankies that were sold with two 2x15 speaker cabinets, came with a Y speaker cable, as did the Frankie PA systems.

The 2K+H cabinets may have 8 ohm speakers from the factory. I didn't find a 2K+H but I do list KEI speakers as follows:
2G+H 038-5028-00 8 ohms
2G+H 038-5031-01 16 ohms

Altec loaded,
2A+H 038-0034-00 8 ohms
2A+H 038-5031-01 16 ohms

JBL loaded,
2L+H 038-0032-00 8 ohms
2L+H 038-5031-01 16 ohms

So the breakdown would be the taller PA cabinets used the 16 ohm speakers regardless of brand.
The shorter guitar cabs with the horns used 8 ohm speakers.

Frankie cabs and all K100 and K200 cabinets used 16 ohm speakers.

Yes you are correct. The taller two 15" cabinets with the horns were PA cabinets, and the speakers used were 16 ohms each so the total is 8 ohms. (if you count the T&R would be 27) The shorter guitar cabs with the horns would be (23 T&R) and use 8 ohm speakers for a 4 ohm total impedance. So counting the T&R is an easier way to tell what speakers are in the cabinets. This is of course only valid if the original speakers are in the cabinets.

The reason, the K200, K300 and K600 PA heads, the power amps run at 4 ohms. Two 8 ohm PA cabinets presented 4 ohms to the PA head.

The shorter guitar horn cabinets were designed to run 4 ohms. The K250 head is designed to run only one cabinet at 4 ohms. The K250 amps only had one speaker output jack so if you wanted to add a second cabinet, the second cabinet would have the power module in the back of the amp, so the power cabinet was running with it's own 4 ohm amp.

The model number 2K+1H the K may be a later model where the K replaced the G.

If your goal is to use the horn cabinets as PA cabinets, I'd repace the 8 ohm speakers with 16 ohms.

OK, to recap, I have 4 Jensen C15N speakers each is 16 ohms. I have 1 CTS 15" at 16 ohms. All are original speakers with paper domes. How many do you want and when? And I offered them for $300 for the entire lot. I will have to work out shipping but that is a small issue.
Conrad

PS as for the 150, 250 300 series speakers I am less qualified than Pleat. However, 4 ohms is the lowest impedance that Kustom amps are rated for. So for PA use, 16 ohms is best.
