Well "Happy Fathers Day to all you fathers out there. If your reading this you'll know what I did on my fathers day. This has been a project I wished to do for a long time but was to chicken to try. I tackled it today and here is the results at the link below

It turned out better than I thought it would. Right to factory fit, "20 two inch pleats 12 on top and 4 on each side. Kind of wish I used a little higher quality material, maybe one of the sparkle colors, OH YEA. Thats my next project. I have a C495 5 Transistor Frank chassis up and running and acording to the tag it was red so I need to build the wooden case and tuck and roll it in the red sparkle that I have on the way from Garys Upholstery in Fla.

You're a much braver man than I. I've wanted to do some tuck and roll, but I just never find the time. What did you use for padding, 1" foam?

What is the reason for the bottom seam?

Yes I bought 1" foam from walmart in their fabric department. There really was no reason for the seam on the bottom other than I wanted to use the 2 strips of material I had left over from the tucked part and not cut more off the roll.
