Hi,
What is the correct Gibbs part #?
Are the springs interchangeable between units?
Will other Gibbs/Hammond units work,just with a different effect?
What is the correct chassis to cabinet bolt/screw size & thread?
Where can you get them?

Hello and welcome!
The springs can be swapped, but most times getting them unhooked breaks the very brittle wire that the hook is attched to.
If you go thru the pains of unhooking the 4 pan support springs to work on the unit you will stand a better chance of not snapping the connectng wire from the small spring hook.

If you are trying to save a old pan, the first thing I would do is to put a good size dab of silicone sealer on the wires where they pass into the small coil and let it full dry before working on it.
This will save you from breaking these off which is realy easy to do, plus this will keep them from breaking off latter in use due to travels which happens also.

What I have done once I have unfolded the hook enough to get a spring back on is to use a small dab of silicone sealer, or epoxy to hold the spring to the hook, as many times refolding the hook to hold the spring snaps the hook and then your done.
The use of glue saves you from tyring to refold the hook and snapping it.
The replacement pan you may need if you can not fix yours can be had from Antique Electronics supply, part number P-R4FB2C1A, you will aslo need there P-G001 rubber sleve kit.
All the hardware to mount the pan is size 6/32, you will need 4 machine screw long enough to go thru the pan lip/rubber sleve and thru the two round aluminum mounting bars along with 4 6/32 nuts with locks.

To mount the bars back to the amp chassis you will need 4 6/32 machine screws in a lenght of 1/2 inch.
Some good hardwre stores stock this stuff in stainless steel and its worth the extra buck or two to go that route.

In terms of other reverb pans working in Kustoms, some will, if you have a pan that checks out with a resistance meter at around 179 to 186 ohms per RCA jack that will work and probibly provivde enough reverb for all playing styles but some surf music!

If you do not have the orignal RCA cables note that the end of the pan marked OUTPUT gets mounted as far away from the amps power transfomer as possible for minimum 60HZ hum pick up.

Also its OK if you happen to plug the cables in wrong, you will not hurt the amp, but the reverb will not work, also the RCA female`s on the circuit boards need to be shinny and clean, if they are dull and tarnished you may get connection problems.

How about the machine screws that hold the amp chassis to cabinet?
Also are the finned aluminum 2 button foot switches correct or the wrinkle black domed?how about on the K150-8?
