Hello, all.
I have a pair of red K200 cabs with Aluminum ports. I would like to put the later "chrome" plastic ports in them.
I would trade the aluminum for the chrome, or just buy the chrome ones if you have them.

Just a suggestion, but if you take a tube of simichrome and a rag, you can buff the aluminum ones up until they shine like chrome and then spray a thin coat of clear over them to keep them from oxidizing and you have your chrome ports or really close.

Simichrome is a polishing paste that was used by old Harley guys to polish the cases on their engines (before they were chrome) back in the day to make them shine like chrome. The tool and Die shop I used to work at bought it by the case and used it to polish molds they polished some molds to a mirror finish and they looked like chrome and if you touched it, it would scratch it. It is good stuff and works easy. Just make sure that you use something good like minwax polyurethane (gloss) to cover it with to ensure that it doesn't oxidize again. I think you will be impressed. You can put the screws in a drill and do the heads of them as well and then spray the heads of them too.

Good luck Smile
