I've got a black Kustom K200B-2 with a 2x15 cab and was wondering what it's worth. It's in spectacular shape and is only missing one knob. Everything works it just needs to have the pots cleaned. I'm new to this so I'm having difficulties with pictures. Also any typical information i.e. ohms and wattage would be a great help as well.

It is all about color and condition. With pictures it would be much easier to help you. The cabinet stock was 8 ohms and the head would drive 2 cabs (4ohm total load) @ 100 watts max. The only way you will find a knob is used, they do not make them that are exact. Does it have the covers for the head and cabinet, does it have the original foot pedal? These are all things that add or take away from value. Being black, Kustom made 65% of there amps in black so they are very common and easy to find.
To post a picture it is best to get a photo bucket account and upload your pic's and then just copy and paste the link that has the ([img ) without the quotes([/img ) before and after it.

Thanks for the info! these are the only pics I have right now but can I can get more. I'm just looking for info because its so hard to find for these amps and I know very little about it. I'm curious to know what its worth because I need to know if I got a good deal on it and in case I decide to try and sell it myself. I've seen just the heads on eBay for around $250 but I've yet to see the whole rig.

I have taken the back off the cab but it has been awhile. I know the top is the blue-ish J.B. Lansing and I'm not sure about the bottom... I'm 99.9% that it's all original

Really? I thought these were standard "Cosmo" knobs, used on Rickenbacker guitars and Moog synths. Very much still available today, and as far as I can tell, are an exact match to the old ones. The synth guys use 'em all the time.
Cosmo only sells in large quantities, but they're available on eBay and elsewhere, like here:
I use the Cosmos knobs all the time. The only real difference is that during certain periods, Kustom used a push on D shaft knob, while the Cosmos only comes with a set screw.
Lots of good discussion on the knobs, including a story on how Cosmo took over the knobs from the original company. Apparently the new ones, while not 100% exact, are so close as to be nearly indistinguishable, except in a close, side-by-side comparison.

I still don't think they are exact. Radio shack has some, but they aren't exact either. those look really close but, it would have to be for a smooth shaft and use a set screw to hold it on. The D shaped ones are only for the metal faced amps.

On price I think that black rig should be in the $400-$500 range depending on if it has covers and has foot switch. That silver one is nice Bart, but $900 is a bit high for that configuration, but still a very nice rig!

It's like I tell everyone else, find one and because of condition and color it is still worth double of a black. And 1500.00 is a good price for a red k100??? holy crap my mint one must be worth 2K

I'm not sure about double, but it does yield a higher price, as far as that red k100 who knew! i know i wouldn't pay that, and i know you wouldn't either

You're right, the Radio Shack knobs are way too different. But the Cosmo knobs are smooth shaft with a setscrew. I'm not sure about the Little Bear knobs. I have a bunch of Cosmos that were part of that original order back in 2001, and I can't tell the difference from the originals.

I have never had to really look for any as I always had spares or one of my buddy's did. The Little bears look perfect, but there has to be a different part number as the one given says they are for a knurled shaft. That is a good deal on them as well. I am not sure that the Rick knobs are still the same today as they were 12 years ago, possibly made cheaper now.
I like these even better, you can match the color of your amp!

The push on D shaft Knobs, the marker dot is in a different position, so if you use the D shaft knobs on a plexi face the marker dot isn't at 0 when the control is off.
