Do any of you know what pattern of Naugahyde comes closest to matching the original Kustom "black" ? I see "Universal, Petex, Dolphin", and several others. From what I can see, the "Universal Raven Black" looks pretty close, but the illustrated samples are pretty small. Any help appreciated !

FYI - I bought some of the Naugahyde "Universal" pattern in Raven Black. It seems to be a near-perfect match to the original Naugahyde. I have a speaker cabinet back panel and the bottom of a K250 head to re-cover !

what year amp are you speaking of?
Up to late 1972 or so they used a fine grained hide pattern, after that they went to a much courser grained pattern that had a higher gloss level to it.
