Yes, I'm not sure of the years, but the first version K200A heads had flat metal front panels with the two circuit breakers at the top.
As for the eBay listing, the amp was played by Tom Fogerty in the studio for one recording. He never owned it and never used it with CCR as far as I can tell.

It is a very early K200A-1 head it is the 231rst A series head made (big deal) It isn't worth anywhere close to that. I guess my silver that I couldn't get a bid on must be worth 5K then...lol!
The head was made in Jan of 68 they started at 20001.

I can not figure out what makes folks think an amp used by an artis is worth anywhere near that price, now if we are talking about a guitar, or maybe an amp that was used by the a person at a major historic event like Woodstock or the Filmore then that would be a different story I guess?

Looking at the whole auction description, there are a few things that don't match up. The cabinet has the Jensen speaker jack and chrome port tubes that would place it as a newer cab. So it wouldn't have been sold with the K200A-1 amp originally. The cab does have the correct logo for that period. The jack plate on the very early 2x15 cabinets would have used a thick plastic jackplate. Of course it might have been replaced. The bottom speaker might be a JBL from the looks of the aluminum dust cap, but the top speaker is anyone's guess unless the back were removed.
The seller states that the amp is just like the one, Tom used in his career on tour and in the studio with CCR. So it's not the original amp Tom used on tour, but one he used later in sessions in 1979.
Nice spin, but in a country that will buy pet rocks, I guess anything is possible.
