Just had to tell you guys. First, thanks for the tips on finding replacement wheels and handle inserts. I was able to get both quickly. The wheels were actually in stock at my local Grainger. NOTE - these are the shiny hooded ones, which was what I needed, and are a perfect match and fit. The handle inserts are, again, exactly right. Anyway, I was thrashing around trying to get this cab ready to use for a Friday, August 9th gig. Above mentioned items got here, but I had to go to Shelby, about 30 minutes up the road to get the correct screws and trim for the back panel. A good many of them were missing and were flat blade heads. The last thing was the nut that retains the speaker jack the back panel. I'd checked several places with no luck until it dawned on me that I know Scott Splawn at Splawn Amplification. Caught him just as he was closing Thursday night. Luckily, he had the correct nut and washer for me. So I finished putting everything back together and ran a test. Using the newer Kustom KXB 500 head to drive the cab along with an early '90s reissue Danelectro Longhorn with original flats, I was real excited about the sound that was being produced by this rig. I couldn't wait to get to the gig, which was a fill in for me, and see if that same sound would be produced outside my band room. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! All the guys in the band, including one's 27 year old daughter, complemented me on the amazing bass sounds, along with some folks from the audience. This band plays a lot of classic rock and my bass rig did its part perfectly. AMAZING TONE and even the volume was up there with the 500 watt head. Very Happy

Now - the only thing that I need to seal the deal on the cab, is a JBL speaker jack plate. Any ideas where to look for something like that? I'd even take a reproduction. Cool

PS & BTW - I've got some pics of it and will try and get them posted Saturday.
