I've got a black tuck and roll 2x15 bass bottom that I've had since the late 70's. There's no model number plate on it, but a very old handwritten sticker with what looks like "LXXX 13488F" on it and a plate with Continental Music, Chicago IL on it. With 12 rolls across the top, I anticipate a 200 or 250 model. It's got a very light weight blue denim grille cloth and looks to be factory original. I've never given it much thought before, but have started looking around recently to put a value on some of my vintage stuff. Has anyone seen this before?

I found some more info searching the forum. The speakers are CTS from February, 1969, shortly before Kustom started putting model plates on the back of the equipment. I'm still finding nothing on the blue denim grille cloth.

I have NEVER seen a Kustom tuck @ roll cabinet with anything but black grille cloth.

I've never seen any grill cloth other than the straight black or the black with the silver threads. My guess would be someone either removed the original grill cloth or added the denim. I once bought a 2x12 cab that had lepard skin material for a grill cloth. Tore the cabinet apart and found the original cloth behind the lepard skin. If your cabinet has a taper on the sides, it's a K200 plexi face cab. The K250 series cabs, the sides of the cab are straight.

I've never seen blue denim or anything other than the standard black cloth on an original cabinet.

But I have seen the metal Continental Music ID plates before. Continental was a small shop on the Northside of Chicago, run by a fellow named Terry and his wife. It was a nice shop, but I don't remember them carrying Kustom, at least not new. They did carry a ton of Traynor amps.
