Decided that I did need another Kustom rig after all, so I made the deal. Looks to be original with a few quirky things going on. I'll provide details later. I've posted several pics on the Talk Bass forum under Amps and entitled "1969 Kustom K200B-2" should you care to take a few peeks for now. Postings were done 10/9/13 in the evening. (I can never get any pics to work here for me.) Smile

Congrats on the new baby! What were the date codes on the speakers?

The single footswitch was made by Peavey and will not really work with the reverb and vibrato.

To get pics to work on here, you need an online photo account, like photobucket.com it is free and you can store a ton of pics there and they are available to you wherever you go. You simply upload the pic from your computer to the account and then you can get a URL link and paste it right into your post and the pic will show right up.

Thanks CB. Both Jensens dated 220930 putting them right there with the head serial #41665. Still curious about the additional jack plate and the plugging and recovering of it with what appears to be original type material.

I did have just a little time to tinker and found that the footswitch only worked the vibrato control and actually shut down the reverb function. You've explained why. What does the correct footswitch look like for this? I have an older 2 button Kustom with the guitar type plug that I'll try on it when I get a minute. The covers are in real good shape with just one corner on the speaker cover needing a few stitches where it has come apart for a couple of inches.

Sadly, found no treasures or even non-treasures inside the cab. Real clean and pretty much undisturbed in there. Smile

Thanks KB. I've attempted to do that in the past and apparently I'm missing something somewhere. When a minute for that comes along, I'll try it again. Confused

The original footswitch was one of the round dome shaped ones with two switches and a grey cable that has a 1/4" stereo plug on the end.

Who knows why the second speaker jack was installed, was the wiring to the speakers disturbed? It could have been to add a second output to a second cabinet, or it could have been to make the cabinet stereo, etc.

I know that sometimes there is enough extra vinyl inside the back panel to get make a patch, or from under the caster plates, etc.

Any 2 button switch with a stereo 1/4 end on it will work. I have used Fender, Peavey, Marshall, etc. pedals. Just stereo 1/4" end with 2 buttons is the key.
