Greetings. I realize this is more RECENT Kustom history inquiry than most earlier amps referenced on this site, but hey, it's still "tuck and roll!"....

Basically, cannot find a proper sized replacement amp jewel over the pilot light (used amp that simply came with amp jewel removed). Tried the standard F*nder size jewel (generally referred to as 9/16 inch wide 24 count thread) and its too small for the pilot light assembly on the Kustom '36 coupe, which measures closer to ¾ inch. Can't find out anywhere where to get a larger sized pilot light. Ideally one from another Kustom amp would fit, but that's not gonna work unless I git room for another amp soon. Anyone know where to find one of these light covers??

Welcome to the place. I've never seen one of those amps up close so I have no real information for you, but did you try and contact the current Kustom company? Or perhaps you can find a local dealer that can order one for you?

Hi -- no luck on account of contacting manufacturer, and local dealer (including one who sold me it) has no idea. Complicating things is that the '36 Coupe is defunct (although the newer Kustom Defender line is apparently heavily based on it).

Could try n' replace who light rig, but that too has its own problems...

Yeah, I know I'm on a vintage forum, but hey, its a Kustom, and its got some nice TnR padding on it, so why not try!

The current models use a similar looking lens, so a new one may fit your amp as well. The Kustom web site has a finder for service providers, so maybe you could find a local repair company that can get one for you.

Good luck

Just as a side note, if you do open up the amp take a good look at the soolder connections at each end of the big rectangular power rsistors.
I have fixed 2 of these amps in three years with failed connections in these areas.
