Hello All, I recently bought a six eight black tuck and roll cabinet. Kustom by Ross,Inc badge and aluminum ports mounted vertically not horizontally. The speaker input on back says CTS (speakers) but has no Kustom logo. It had one Eminence and two Fisher speakers and two were missing. The speakers date to '67). The grill cloth looks similar to what I,ve seen on early 60's Gibson amps. I'm new to the site, have pictures but couldn't get them on. Thank You....Kurt

I do not know what you have, but I am quite familiar with all the Kustom PA / vertical cabinets and I do not recall a cabinet such as that with ports and just for kicks I double checked the sites on line catalog without finding such!
If you could slap up a picture somewhere that would be great for us to check out.
From looking here at what Kustom offered in 1967 the only PA systems they offered where with cabinets that came with 8 10" drivers, or 8 12" drivers.
The 795 model PA system is the one that came with the 10" drivers, and the model 795 was the list price for the whole system ,4 channel pa head, pa head stand, and the two speaker cabinets with cables, and also these cabinets had no port tubes, but may have had port holes as do the other non pa cabinets of that era.
I have never seen one with port tubes, but like Fender, a lot of prototype stuff may have got out just to rake in every penny!

The cabinet is two foot wide and three foot tall and the ports are on one foot centers in the middle of the cabinet. I have pictures but have been unsuccessful in getting them onto the site. Any suggestions? I think everyone here would enjoy seeing this ugly beautiful cabinet.

Ok, thanks for the shots.
That cabinet is a 2 15 model that some one made a new baffle for and put the port tubes from the original cabinet in up and down and not horizontal, if t he port tubes are aluminum and not plastic than it's a early cabinet.

The port tubes are aluminum with three screws holding them in (thru the front of the tubes).Who ever did the work on the speaker board was quite the craftsman as the layout and cuts are very precise. Thanks for your your help.
