Just finishing up the construction of the cabinets for my Altec horns. Question I have is that the cabinet will be tight..sealed from top to bottom. Do horns need a port of some kind like open backed speakers do. Noticed that there is a opening on back of the driver for air movement I am guessing. So is it ok to have a sealed cabinet or should I put a port on the back panel for air?

This baby is build solid and will have the T&R as well.

Just received my bass ports for the 595 cabinets.....way tooooo big! Bigger than the ports that Kustom made. Clean my glasses and double check measurements before ordering again. Sucks getting old! lol

The cabinets can be sealed as that hole is just to vent the drivers voice coil.
Yup, I can not wait until I save enough dough up to get a lazar treatment done and ditch these dam glasses!
