Just ran across these model FLH15 SRO cabs. They look identical to the Voice Of The Theatre bottom cabs from the 60's. Same scoops on the sides and bottom vent. Serial # S-70445 Chanute. Non Tuck and roll. I've never seen Kustoms like these before. Any ideas?

Kustom offered two versions, the FLH-15 and the FLH-15SRO. The SRO version has a low cutoff frequency of 35HZ. They were the Low freq. Cab in a two or three way PA system. Big and heavy, 145 pounds.
They first came out with the hard tolex covered amps of 74.

I think it would really depend on the actual speaker in the cabinet, and what your looking for in sound and willing to move. It's 145 pounds and 34" x 30" x 24' size is massive compared to the newer technology bass cabs. I don't think it would compare with a 4x10 Ampeg bass cab for example. But to each their own.

I'm seeing your point pleat. I think the original speakers were pretty fair for bass, but a little more mid driven than I like.

If you put. Newer type Neomag type driver in there you could knock some 12 lbs off its weight!
